Therapy Night

  • play the board game Therapy
  • art therapy
  • aggression/stress  release exercises (boxing, darts)

  • self-medication
  • tarot card readings

Romance Writing Group First Encounter Brunch

Restrictive DJ Night

Patrick Williams organized Restrictive DJ Night at The AS in The AS on June 18, 2010. Each DJ had a three record set: songs that were made in a year ending in 3, songs with the word dance in the title or lyrics, or 45s.

Here’s a recording. Joanna forgot to press the record button again, so this is only the second half of the night (but we were all practiced with our new DJ skills by then).Enjoy!

Joanna is selling the surface area of her body, which will be on display as she runs 15K at the Utica Boilermaker on July 11. Design your own tattoo or patch, or Joanna will make it for you.

Bonus Fundraiser: Training Days

For $50, you can be my coach for a day. I will have to do whatever you tell me (okay, a few limitations: training activities can’t exceed 8 hours a day, and I won’t eat meat). Five training days available: July 5-9.

We don’t have an online payment system set up yet, so you’ll have to give Joanna cash or a check or something. All money raised will go towards activities, projects, publications, etc., for The AS in The AS.

Restrictive DJ Night

Show off your spinning skills by meeting the restrictive DJ night challenge.

You will be given certain rules to follow for your set, such as:
all songs played must either:
-have been released in a year ending in 3
OR
-include the word “dance” in their title or lyrics
OR
-on a 45rpm/7″ record

Patrick will offer  a quick primer on mixing records at the beginning of the night, and at the end we’ll have a drawing to choose restrictions for the next round.

Turntables, vinyl, and cocktails provided.
